Forte and Tablada, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary engineering and land surveying firm specializing in civil, environmental, electrical, and mechanical engineering services, with locations in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Denham Springs, Louisiana. While based in Louisiana, our engineering professionals are licensed to serve in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. For over 40 years, Forte and Tablada has consistently produced creative and economical solutions for our clients and their projects in a timely and responsive manner.
While infrastructure design is our main area of expertise—for example, we have worked in every corrections facility in Louisiana performing projects from sewer system upgrades to designing new water distribution and treatment systems—Forte and Tablada Inc. has expanded our services in the civil, electrical, mechanical, and environmental sectors in order to better serve our current and potential clients.

Civil Engineering
Civil engineering and civil site design are the foundations of our business, just as they are the foundations of any building or structure. Our civil department has a wide range of experience in designing projects such as buildings, major highways, bridges, and city streets, as well as, for waste water treatment and collection facilities, water, and gas distribution systems, fire protection systems, pumping stations, and land development.
Rather than outsourcing any preliminary surveying for civil projects, we rely on an in-house survey team for a more expedited and integrated process. In addition to surveying, we also provide full-time construction observation.

Electrical Engineering
Our electrical staff designs and specifies all electrical power and control components for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients. Their work experience includes high voltage transmission, in-plant distribution, short circuit and relay coordination studies, high voltage switching stations and motor controls. We also provide interior and exterior lighting design, low and high voltage distribution systems, and communications and security systems.
Project management is also offered for work designed exclusively by F&T, and construction observation is provided for industrial and commercial projects.

Surveying
With the combined power of Baton Rouge Land Surveying, and most recently, BBC Engineering, Forte and Tablada’s skilled staff of four Professional Land Surveyors, five survey crews, and six Cadd technicians wields the expertise and experience necessary to provide turnkey land surveying services for all types of projects in the municipal and utility, industrial, residential, commercial, coastal and environmental sectors. We provide topographic, boundary, right-of-way, ALTA/ACSM and as-built surveys, as well as, construction layout, construction staking, and GPS services.
Utilizing robotic Total Stations, GPS survey equipment, and field data collectors, with the capability and equipment to deploy five fully-outfitted crews on a daily basis, Forte and Tablada, Inc. performs surveying work efficiently and accurately in the time given.

Mechanical Engineering
Forte and Tablada, Inc. has become a forerunner in the design of correctional institution facilities, but our company has also designed several different kinds of mechanical systems for industrial, institutional, municipal, and commercial installations.
These designs have included several power plants, industrial equipment and process piping installations, building and building complex plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems, as well as, designs for scientific laboratories and food processing plants. These are only part of the long list of projects designed under F&T’s mechanical division.

Environmental Engineering and Permitting
Forte and Tablada provides environmental engineering services including environmental assessments, as well as, engineering and construction designs for coastline or shoreline restoration and stabilization.
In addition, we offer our clients the option of in-house permitting services: we help our clients through the various paperwork and processes for DOTD permits, DEQ permits, 404 permits and Coastal Use permits, among others.
